A lifelong Hucknall resident, Colin formerly attended Watnall Road Baptist Church and later switched to West Hucknall (formerly Seymour Road) Baptist Church.

He was a resident of Annesley Lodge Care Home in Hucknall for the last four-and-a-half years.

Before his retirement, Colin worked for the National Coal Board in their administration and medical department.

He became actively involved with Hucknall's Under One Roof Centre and he was a member of the town's Partnership Group.

Colin's wife, Mignon, died five years ago, and he leaves two sons, David and Phillip, as well as two grandchildren.

In keeping with the Covid-19 restrictions, a private family committal will take place at Mansfield Crematorium on Friday.

At Colin's own request, a service of thanksgiving for his life will be held at West Hucknall Baptist Church at a later date.
