Police are appealing for witnesses after a life-size bronze statue was stolen from an Indian restaurant in Toothill Road.

The one-and-a-half metre effigy was taken from the entrance to The Chand on Saturday 21st December.

Owners initially thought the statue (pictured) had been taken as a prank, but a month later it has not been returned and police are now involved.

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing to members of the public who may have seen the statue being removed from the scene or who have seen it since the theft to contact them on 101.
