Portland College spring fair raises thousands for £2m sports centre campaign

A Spring fair has helped raise thousands of pounds for Portland College as they battle to raise a whopping £2m to pay for a new sports centre.

The annual charity event featured more than 70 craft stalls as well as facepainting, a fun photobooth and refreshments.

Nottingham Forest Football Club also brought along their inflatable football arena and there was a fun fair with inflatable slides, bouncy castle and coconut shy!

Tracey Horton, fundraising executive said, “The College would like to thank the people of Mansfield and Ashfield for turning up again in great numbers to support the college and all of our stall holders.

“The day was once again a fantastic fundraiser and we managed to top our original £2,500 target!”

The college are aiming to raise £2m to finance a new state-of-the-art sports centre for students, sporting groups from the region and elite level competitors.
