Pupil nets cash gift to help support additional needs

Queen Elizabeth Academy pupil Charlotte Evans is pictured here receiving her prizes - an iPad mini and £500 - for her winning mascot design for charity DIPSU.

Charlotte’s Lama design helped net the school £500 to help support students with additional needs and remove barriers to learning.

DIPSU, or Direct Payments Service Users Ltd, assists over 2,000 people across Nottinghamshire to remain in their own homes and communities.

A Queen Elizabeth spokesman said: “The competition has been really worthwhile with students doing themselves credit.”
