School hit by devastating burglary

About 15,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the school's Apple Mac music-technology suite – and the school cannot afford to replace it.

The suite was playing a key role in the coveted specialist status which Holgate received in the performing arts. Head teacher Phil Crompton said: "This is a major setback for us."

The raid happened on either Saturday October 10 or Sunday October 11.
