Bargain hunters in Mansfield, Ashfield and Worksop are out in force again for the Boxing Day sales.

Hundreds of them made an early start braving busy shopping centres and high streets,in the hope of snapping up a bargain.

Many stores are simply continuing sales which started before Christmas, but shoppers are using their Christmas break to shop until they drop.

Mansfield’s Four Seasons is open today from 9am – 5.30pm with exclusive offers across retailers,

Spokeswoman Claire Ward said: ”It is already shaping up to be quite busy, it is filling up as we speak and it’s only 10am.”

Offers include up to 50 per cent off at River Island, Up to half price at Debenhams and 75 per cent off at Clintons.

Idlewells at Sutton is open from 8am to 6pm.

McArthurGlen East Midlands Designer Outlet at South Normanton is opening from 9am-7pm.

When we called at 10am the car parks were already filling up with people intent on getting some retail therapy.

Clarks have savings of up to 60 per cent off RRP on selected lines; GAAP outlet has Additional 40per cent off sale, there’s up to 60per cent off in the Levi’s sale.

Manager of the M&S Outlet Annette Ward said: “We are quite busy already - it is definitely not usually this busy on a Saturday.

“As an outlet store a lot of our stock is reduced by 50-60 per cent anyway and this is a continuation of our Christmas sale.”
