Summer sportin Newstead
SPORTS sessions are being run in Newstead throughout the school summer holidays in a bid to keep youngsters fit and healthy.
On Mondays, between 3 pm and 5 pm, and on Tuesdays, between 6 pm and 8 pm, children are being invited to turn up at the village’s recreation ground off Tilford Road.
They will be able to take part in everything from football and cricket to rounders, a golf game and a bungee run.
The fun, which is aimed at children aged between eight and 16, has been organised by Gedling Borough Council, in partnership with Smart Sport Solutions.
