Taking a nature lesson in their stride
Children from Sutton Road Primary School walked to Titchfield Park and planted crocus bulbs with Mansfield District Council staff and members of the Maun Conservation Group.
A whole Year 4 class made the trip, which gave the children the chance to enjoy their local park and surroundings while learning about nature.
Maun Conservation Group work closely with the council on a range of similar projects. The children plan to make a return visit in spring 2014 to see the crocuses in flower.
