TEACHER HAD CHILD PORN ON HIS COMPUTER

A SCHOOLTEACHER from Hucknall has admitted to having hundreds of pornographic images of children stored on his computer.

Colin Legg (52), of Portland Road, pleaded guilty to 15 counts of making indecent images and one count of possession of the material.

Nottingham Crown Court heard that more than 370 images of children were found by the police on Legg's computer.

Such images are categorised by the authorities from level one, which are the most mild, to level five, which are the most serious.

Robbie Singh (prosecuting) told the court that Legg's collection of images ranged from level one to level five. The content of the images has not yet been revealed.

It is understood that the case against Legg stretches back more than two years and that he was arrested in July 2007.

Legg is believed to have a history of health problems and was not working in a school at the time of his arrest.

It has yet to be divulged whether or not he has been employed in Hucknall schools. But Notts County Council, who are responsible for schools in Hucknall, claim they have no record of him.

Legg has been granted bail by Judge Jonathan Teare so that the probation service can compile pre-sentence reports on him.

Sentencing will take place on Friday September 11.

Investigating police officers who have been involved in the case declined to comment until the sentencing is concluded.
