Teenager damages window during row

A Kirkby Woodhouse teenager struggling with drug addiction has been given a conditional discharge by Mansfield magistrates after damaging a window during a row.

Dennis Quinn, prosecuting, told the court how Haydn Wright (18), of Skegby Road, became angry when his mother held back a portion of his benefits.

An argument between them ended with Wright using a chair to the plastic covering an already damaged window.

Chris Perry, defending, said Wright had developed an addiction to party drug MCAT and amphetamine, which had effected his moods.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge, £40 court costs and £15 victim surcharge.
