Third charity ball announced

A charity ball which has raised £42,000 for a Mansfield special school in the past two years is set to return for its third year.

The third annual Hall-Fast Charity Ball is set to take place on Friday 29th May 2015 at the John Fretwell Centre, in Sookholme.

Once again proceeds will go towards the Fountaindale SEN School, in Nottingham Road, which helps youngsters aged three to 19 years with physical and sensory needs.

It is the latest in a long line of fund-raising events for Hall-Fast, which will also be raising cash for head injury charity Headway at the ball and from a gruelling physical challenge planned for April next year.

Hall-Fast owner Malcolm Hall said: ‘’I’m really pleased that the events team at Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce is organising next year’s charity ball.

“They have a wealth of experience of organising events and with an ever-growing membership of 3,800 firms, the awareness of both charities will be raised further afield.

“We also hope that our fellow chamber members will purchase tickets or sponsor what is now widely-recognised as North Nottinghamshire’s most prestigious annual event.’’

More than 200 people attended this year’s black tie, charity extravaganza, and Hall-Fast intends to raise more than £30,000 over the next 12 months.

All funds raised will be split equally between Headway UK and Fountaindale, the company said.

Seventy tickets have already been reserved and a number of sponsors have again given their support to the event, including Greene King, Mansfield Town, A Star Media, Brunts Academy and A1 Flue Systems.
