Motorists have 13 months to redeem the offer

Motorists can take advantage of a free MOT from Halfords in a month-long promotion.

Customers who shop in Halfords retail branches and purchase any product (excluding a carrier bag) between now and October 14 will be entitled to a free MOT, which they have 13 months to redeem.

The offer comes during the second busiest month of the year for MOT tests. September will see nearly half a million cars require their first MOT, as September 2015 saw 462,517 new cars hit the road.
