Trip to church marred by ticket
Mrs Marshall (43) attended a special service at the church last Friday morning to welcome year-seven children to Hucknall National Comprehensive School.
She had parked her car on the nearby Piggins Croft car park and wanted a two-hour parking permit.

“This meant that I got two one-hour tickets instead of one two-hour ticket. I put a written explanation on my car windscreen.
“As well as my church visit, I did a bit of shopping in the town centre. This meant I was a couple of minutes later returning to my car than I had anticipated.
“But I was still well within my time limit and I am baffled as to why I have been penalised.”

Mrs Greenhalgh, who suffers from emphysema, says a warden walked away from her car at first but then returned and applied the ticket.
“I have always tried to do everything by the book,” she adds. “Getting the ticket has made me feel ill and I have not been able to sleep properly.”
Brent Walters (47), of Tavistock Close, Hucknall, says he also received a ticket for an alleged petty infringement on Piggins Croft.

“All fines should be suspended until this job has been done.”
