Video: Tributes left to man who died at the scene of a fatal crash

Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal car crash near Mansfield.

Grieving relatives and friends have placed bouquets at the foot of a tree thought to have been hit by a car at Moorhaigh Lane on Pleasley Hill.

This morning officers had not officially named the man who died in the incident which happened at around 8pm on Sunday.

Flowers have been left in memory of ‘Tomo’.

Nottinghamshire Police crash investigators are appealing for witnesses to the single-vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta.

The road was closed at the junctions of Baxter Hill with Moorhaigh Lane,Water Lane with Sampsons Lane and Sampsons Lane with Penniment Lane.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the collision or the vehicle involved is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 793 of 22 March 2015.
