Chasing the meagre home total of 93, the visitors were reduced to 60 for five before sensible lower-order batting took them to a one-wicket win.

Opener Tom Bowers had started the run-chase at a pace, smashing two sixes and a four in his top-score 22 from 16 balls.

After captain Sam Ogrizovic went for 16 at 60 for five, Shaun Levy and Jim Rhodes made 12 and 13 respectively.

Then with the total on 85 for nine number nine batsman Dillon Singh and number 11 Jamie Hart kept calm, striking four and five not out respectively to steer the visitors to victory.

Edwinstowe bowler Pascal Broadley had claimed five 49 and Christopher Tindle took two for 43.

Earlier Edwinstowe were bowled out for 93 as Sam Wagstaff top-scored with 43 from 70 balls, including five fours.

He added 37 for the third wicket with Justin Pretorius (18) but only one further batsman, captain Andrew Edwards (10), made double figures.

Three bowlers shared the wickets for Papplewick.

Jim Rhodes claimed four for 22, Dillon Singh took three for 23 and Gareth Blinkhorn finished with three for 47.

Glapwell Colliery, who have also been relegated, ended their season on a high, defeating visitors Ordsall Bridon by seven wickets.

Danny Bircumshaw and Matthew Page both took four wickets as Ordsall were bowled out for 126.

In reply, Glapwell looked to be in trouble at 27 for two after losing both openers.

But captain Danny Bircumshaw and Ron Davison added 74 for the third wicket before Davison and Lee Topham took the home side to victory in the 35th over of their run-chase.

Bircumshaw struck three fours and two sixes in his 64-ball knock of 41.

Davison found five boundaries in an unbeaten 34 from 71 balls, while Topham scored 16 not out from 18 balls, including three boundaries.

Thoresby Colliery dismissed visitors Blidworth for 129 in their five-wicket victory.

The match at Clipstone Welfare saw North Wheatley with Leverton batting first, with their middle and late order the mainstay of their score of 200.

Jonny Loates top-scored with 60, Luke Istead made 32 and Luke Tong scored 30.

Clipstone Welfare’s bowling was enhanced by the presence of Louis Sprigg, who achieved efficient figures of five for 53, and Ian Woodall, who took three wickets for 35.

In response, Clipstone Welfare were bowled out for 78. Luke Istead and Jamie Sizer both took four wickets.

In Division One, Mansfield Hosiery Mills 2nds kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation after amassing 248 for seven from 44 overs against visitors Kiveton Park Colliery 1sts, who were dismissed for 96 in reply.

Mansfield 1sts’ outside chances of staying up in Division Two ended with a nine-wicket loss to Harthill 1sts. Mansfield totalled 102 for seven from 36 overs.

Rain came to the rescue of promotion-chasing Bilsthorpe in Division Five.

They were on 60 for six when play was abandoned as they chased Rockware’s 159 all out.

Bilsthorpe will go into the final round of matches in second place, eight points clear of third place.

Shirebrook 1sts (139) clinched the title with a 101-run success over Anston 3rds.
