Left-arm paceman Footitt, formerly of Nottinghamshire, joined the club in 2010 and has enjoyed his most successful season to date in 2014.

The 28-year-old has claimed 54 first-class wickets at an average a shade over 20, as well as 19 wickets in one-day competitions, including career-best List A figures of 5-59 versus Leicestershire at Grace Road in July.

Palladino has also been an essential part of the Derbyshire seam bowling attack this year, taking 33 first-class wickets at 26 apiece.

The 31-year-old has also added valuable lower-order runs with the bat, hitting 258 first-class runs, with a top score of 60.

“We’re delighted that both Mark and Tony have committed themselves to Derbyshire for the foreseeable future,” said elite performance director Graeme Welch.

“The pair are both senior bowlers and will be integral parts of our bowling unit as we continue to build a winning squad for 2015 and beyond.

“Mark is enjoying his best season to date and has already reached 50 first-class wickets for the first time.

“When he’s on-song, Mark adds something different to the bowling unit because he’s left-arm and consistently up around 90 miles-per-hour, and I’m sure there’s still plenty more to come from him.

“Tony is a consistent performer in all forms for Derbyshire and has proven that he can take wickets in all formats. He also offers a useful batting option down the order and we hope this can continue for years to come.”
