Edwinstowe win takes Anston top

The only other match in the top section was at Hucknall (164-3) who beat Sheffield Collegiate (143) Top scorer for Hucknall was J. Buckley with 94.

In Section Two Morton (118) managed to beat Teversal (82) to go top, despite R. Slinger taking 6-19 for Teversal.

Only one match survived in Section Four at Papplewick & Linby (248-4) who, with A. Woolley top-scoring with 84, enjoyed a winning draw over Alfreton (159-8) with C. Blatherwick taking 7-17 for Papplewick. This lifted them above Alfreton into second place.

In Section Six Selston (219-8) managed a winning draw over The Wednesday CC (193-8). Top score for Selston was C. Knighton with 66.

In Section Seven Belper Meadows took maximum points after Edwinstowe II failed to raise a team.

In the only other match in this section Welbeck (277-4) beat Grassmoor (149) by 128 runs.

All the local games in the Gunn & Moore South Notts League fell foul of the weather.
