Sam Wood added 30 and Joshua Downie 31 as all of the top 5 in the order made starts. At 157 for 3, victory looked well within reach, but the return of Khan to the bowling attack turned things around.

Despite the loss of an early wicket, Kimberley appeared to be on their way to a fourth win in four games with Matt Taylor (44) and Tom Rowe out in the middle. The pair had added 93 together, Rowe reaching a half century, but when he was run out on 53 things got interesting. Cuckney kept chipping away at the wickets such that the last pair came together with 18 runs wanted from two overs.
