Starting early at 11.45am, the visitors across to south-eastern Nottinghamshire were put into bat and toiled from the very beginning.

Opener Sam Ogrizovic (11) stuck around for a while but both Timothy Wyatt and number three Harry Ratcliffe went cheaply to leave them on 7-2.

Jack Blatherwick hit 21 and Daniel Blatherwick 10 but that was as good as it got for Papplewick and Linby who were skittled out for 56.

Radcliffe’s David Lucas was the main man with the ball as he ripped through the top order to finish with figures of 6-40 from his 12 overs.

Fellow bowlers Ben Savage (3-15) and Eddie Torr (1-0) wrapped up the rest inside the 25th over to leave their batsmen a straightforward task.

The hosts got the required runs inside 10 overs for the loss of four wickets as Jim Rhodes (3-12) did his best to stop the runs from flowing.

But it was all in vain as Connor Marshall (2*) and Jake Fish (4*) saw Radcliffe to victory for 20 points. Papplewick claiming just the one bowling point.
