Daz dazzles in Wednesday Open

Sherwood Forest Farm Park Fishery’s Wednesday Open on Holmedale Lake saw Daz Staley fish pole and meat out at 14m on the deck and just off of it for 32 carp to 8lb, putting a winning 143lb 7oz on the scales.

In second spot Ian Rowney fished the pellet scoop and pellet cast to the island and late in the match he fished the pole and corn down the margin, landing 37 carp to 7lb and 134lb 5oz.

There were six weights over 100lb in a superb match, 71lb 10 oz only good enough for 10th place.

Lee Parker won his second Tuesday Open in a row from the same peg on Sherwood Lake.

He started off on the pole and caster for 40lb of ide and skimmers before fishing pole and corn down the margin, landing eight carp to 9lb, finishing with 98lb 14oz.

Not far behind Fred Bispham fished popped-up bread for 20 carp to 10lb, losing 10 others in the weed beds.

Sherwood Forest Farm Park Fishery Sunday Evening Open winner Dave Hiley fished the pole and meat shallow at 13m from Holmedale Lake peg four and late in the match fished the maggot down the margin, landing carp to 8lb and winning with 121lb 4oz.

In second place Will Creswell fished the pole and paste down both margins for 102lb 6oz of carp to 8lb.
