Roma arrived in 2017 from Gainsborough Trinity where he spent six seasons, whilst Clifton, 29, who worked under Steve Chettle at Nuneaton Town, joined from Corby Town last year.

Gascoigne, 27, currently in his second spell after spending time at Barwell, came through the ranks at Birmingham City and scored his first goal since returning to Greenwich Avenue in a 5-0 FA Trophy win over Rushall Olympic in December.

The news comes after Callum Chettle, Kieran Preston, Stef Galinski, Ryan Wilson, Marcus Marshall and Kane Richards all put pen-to-paper last month.

Commenting, boss Chettle said: “I am, and we, as a football club, are delighted to get extended deals over the line for Dom, James and Brad.

“Dom has been brilliant since I came to Basford and is always the ultimate professional in everything that he does.

“James signed at the start of last season and although this season was cut short, he played his part in the successes we had in the league and our Trophy campaign.

“Brad, who has built a great partnership alongside Stef Galinski at the heart of our defence, joined us again late last season and has been excellent and we are extremely pleased to get his deal sorted nice and early this time around.

“All the major parts of the squad are now finalised, and we can now look forward to our pre-season schedule,” he said.

The news is marred, however, after United confirmed youngster Oliver Clark has sustained a serious knee injury recently and could face up to a year out.

Talented prospect Clark only signed from neighbours Carlton Town in January on a two-and-a-half-year deal but has yet to feature for the club because of last season’s curtailment.

Basford face Mickleover in a friendly on May 22 before their official pre-season schedule is expected to begin later this year.
