Don't miss our Stags Freight Rover Trophy 30th anniversary pull-out and web articles tomorrow

Tomorrow (Wednesday, 24th May) marks the 30th anniversary of Mansfield Town's glorious Freight Rover Trophy triumph at Wembley Stadium.

And we will be marking the anniversary in style at the Chad with a special eight-page supplement in tomorrow’s newspaper plus a day of special online articles, video and photographs.

The pull-out will include a special interview with former players George Foster, Kevin Kent, Tony Kenworthy, and Mark Kearney on their memories of the game plus a match report and pictures.

Then at regular intervals during the day log onto our web site www.chad.co.uk to read other articles and see gallery slideshows with fans’ pictures, match action pictures and post match celebrations plus video of the penalty shoot-out.

It was a day out the 26,000 Mansfield Town fans will never forget. Kevin Kent looked to have won the game with a goal early in the second half only to see Glyn Riley force extra-time with two minutes to go.

That produced no more goals so the game went to penalties - the first cup final to do so at Wembley - which saw Stags triumph 5-4.

As penalties went into sudden death at 4-4, goalkeeper Kevin Hitchcock made his second crucial stop, saving from David Moyes to leave the stage set for Tony Kenworthy to net the winning penalty.
