And, with the season already behind and the wet winter months ahead, questions over the viability of completing the season will be asked if the current lockdown is extended.

But Graves believes there is no need to worry.

“I did hear a rumour 4-5 weeks ago that if we got to seven games they could do it on PPG and finish the season, he said.

“It is only a month and if everything improves then there's no reason why we can't carry on and then this is just a break.

“There's no cup games and we have midweek as well, so I don't see why the season can't finish.

“There may be a backlog but you may also get clubs more willing to play games when normally they wouldnt with regards to grounds and pitches.

“We will see what the future holds. We want to be in the mix for that top four and get as many points as we can in case the season ends with PPG.

“We want to ensure we have a good ratio, which it is at the moment, but I hope it doesn't go to PPG.”

Graves is now keen to ensure his players keep up their fitness levels ahead of a possible return date on 3rd December against Graham St Prims.

He also hopes that the game will continue to attract a healthy crowd.

“We just have to keep ticking over fitness wise,” added Graves. “Nothing beats match fitness but we can keep general fitness up, it's the same for everyone.

“The crowds have been good. We have benefited from people not going to pro football.

“When we come back will fans be allowed in or not? We don't know yet.

“I can't say too much without getting political but a lot of it doesn't make sense. We can only do what we can do.”
