The 22-year-old joins the Stags following a successful loan spell from the Posh last season.
Hayden was a consistent performer in a vastly-improved second half of the season for Mansfield and made 18 appearances for Steve Evans’ side after joining in January.

Manager Steve Evans said: “Signing Hayden White on a permanent deal was something which was at the forefront of my mind at the end of last season and it’s fair to say that once again the chairman and the chief executive have been able to agree a deal with Barry Fry at Peterborough that has enabled the lad to join us.
“He needs no introduction from me to the Stags’ fans.

“He has, in the main, been outstanding (for Mansfield last season), and is a very welcome addition to a very talented group which has been assembled in the dressing room.
“I will say no more as his performances will need to speak for themselves,” he added.

White becomes the Stags’ second signing of the day from Peterborough United, following the announcement of striker Lee Angol for an undisclosed fee.
