Midfielder Howell (29) spent two seasons with the Stags in which he helped them to the Conference Premier Division title at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

He turned down a new deal at Mansfield with the two parties unable to agree terms, though continued to train with the Stags and played in some of their pre-season friendlies.

Howell also turned out in a friendly for Cambridge United before finding himself back at the Impact Arena.

Anthony was previously with Alfreton for two-and-a-half seasons, helping the club win the Conference North title in the 2010/11 campaign, and is manager Law’s 11th new signing of the summer.
