Table-topping Foresters lose derby clash

A Dan Ryan hat-trick and a goal from Mark Smallwood were not enough to prevent Premier Division leaders FC Sutton Foresters from earning a 5-4 victory in their local derby with Mansfield Hosiery Mills.

Second placed Old Elizabethans were 4-2 victors at the expense of Radcliffe Olympic III, thanks to goals from Callum Wilkinson and Graham Louden with Aston Marsh’s double cancelling out goals from Nick Richards and Sam Adams for Olympic.

Bestwood MWSC continued their rise up the table to third spot thanks to their 4-2 victory over Bassingfield, when Craig Binch’s double for Bass was matched by Ross King for Bestwood, with goals from Danny Carter and Zeke Cox providing the difference and securing the points.

Sherwood Colliery A retained fourth position, despite sharing six goals with lowly Nottinghamshire III.

Colliery’s goals came from Scott Thorpe, Joe Fletcher and Dave Bullock with Tyrone Cairns, Ciaran Gibbons and Nathan Hall replying for Notts.
