Greys storm into county cup semi-finals
Greys surged into the Notts FA Sunday Senior Cup semis by winning 6-2 on Jacksdale's own patch. And now they intend to erase the memory of 2002 when they were beaten 4-0 in the final by Jolly Farmers.
This time, they look likely to be tackling their chief challengers for the Notts Sunday Morning League, Premier Premier Division title, Poets Corner, in the final.

Sunday's win followed a three-week lay-off for Greys, who started slowly against a tough, young Jacksdale outfit. Indeed they had to rely on a cracking 25-yarder from the left foot of 'Mr Reliable' Norman Limb to kick-start them into action.
The Bulwell side capitalised to the full, though, and extended their advantage to 3-0 by half-time, courtesy of Michael Tutin and Limb again.
Jacksdale, who knocked out one of Greys' league rivals, Nottingham West Indian Cavaliers in the previous round, came out of the blocks fast in the second half and clawed a goal back.

Jacksdale kept plugging away and grabbed a late consolation goal, which was well deserved.
Greys welcomed back defender Neil Walker for the tie after a rib injury but they had to rest Luke Humphreys, who pulled his back during the warm-up.
