This tough and genuine five-year-old hurdler progressed beyond champion trainer Paul Nicholls’s wildest dreams last season, picking up a couple of crack handicaps and winding up by finishing a creditable seventh in the Champion Hurdle. He is reportedly primed for a successful re-introduction here under one of the country’s most promising young jockeys, Harry Derham, who struck up such a healthy relationship with the gelding in 2011/12.
