MINI-REVIVAL IS HALTED

After a win and a draw in their previous two matches, Linby lost 4-0, despite fielding a strong side that included new signings Damian Mann, Adrian Gibson and Aaron Ingram, who is back at the club.

In an even first 35 minutes, chances fell at both ends. But Linby were unhinged by an unfortunate own goal from skipper Richard ‘Lionel’ Howell.

They almost levelled when Gibson hit the bar from 25 yards and Richard Arberry struck a post.

But they collapsed in the final 20 minutes once Scott Litchfield had netted Keyworth’s second goal.

Two late goals from first-team centre-half and captain Karl Reed, both headers, gave the scoreline an unreal tint.
