Richard Cooper's British Superbike team gets new backing

Interactive Coding Equipment (ICE) have announced an agreed partnership with the team of one of Hucknall's leading motorcycle racers, to back his assault in the 2016 British Superbike (BSB) season.

The tech firm, based at Sherwood Business Park, Annesley, will continue to throw its support behind Richard Cooper (32), as he prepares for his next race in the tournament at Knockhill, Scotland on the 24th June.

Cooper, who lines up alongside Lee Jackson of Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire, to form the Buildbase BMW Mottorrad team, has made a strong start in the competition so far, snatching a win at a two day BSB event at Oulton Park and most recently scooping second place at Brands Hatch.

The British Superbike Championship, which comprises 12 rounds, began at Silverstone on 8th April and continues through to October at tracks including Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Donington Park.

Richard Cooper said: “Its great news for our team to welcome on board ICE, we look forward to building a great working relationship together. We’ve had some good results during the first three rounds of the Championship, let’s hope we have plenty more that ICE can share with us.”

Chris Simpson, Managing Technical Director at ICE, said “As long standing supporters of Superbike racing, we are excited to be sponsoring Cooper this year and wish him and his team every success in the upcoming race.”
