Former England footballer Mick Channon’s horses are in such good form at present, he probably feels he could go anywhere with them. Well, this afternoon, he makes the mammoth journey from West Ilsley in Berkshire to Hamilton Park in Scotland with just this one horse. The son of Acclamation has always been well regarded, but failed to deliver the goods until a gelding operation brought about significant improvement at Brighton last time when he finally got off the mark. On a fair rating of 70 for this Nursery, he now meets the runner-up that day on 7lb better terms and is expected to go very close.
