Sunday football clubs fold

TWO of Hucknall's leading Sunday-morning football clubs have folded.

SPOT-ON 2000 and PLOUGH AND HARROW finished seventh and eighth respectively in the second level of the Notts Sunday Morning League last term – the 11-team Premier First Division.

But after struggling to find new players and raise sufficient interest, they have decided to call it a day.

Both teams built their way up the league. Spot had two seasons in the top flight, the Premier Premier Division, finishing fifth before suffering relegation in 2006/07. While Plough were crowned Senior Division Two champions in 2005/06.
