Sutton Ladies lead the way

Sutton Harriers’ ladies are in first overall position and the men in fourth after the second Booth Decorators Cross Country race at Chaddeston Park where Sutton completed against 11 other clubs from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire over a muddy five mile course.

Lee Morris was the first Harrier to finish in 12th position, followed by Dean Cross 15th, Tony Goodyear 22nd, James Simpson 31st, Robert Roper 40th, Brent Stevenson 45th, Glenn Baird 60th, Mandy Cormicam 67th, Leatitia Moakes 73rd, Sally Hughes 78th, Ryan Wood 80th, Sally Hutchinson 81st, Paul Dobbs 101st, Callum Ball (15) 110th, Keith Brown 113rd, Dave Herbert 132nd, Amanda Alletson 133rd, Tracy Holmes 135th, Alex Merrit 140th, Gary Davis 169th, Gail Moore 170th, Alison Whittingham 174th, Sue Bradley 176th, James Roper 181st, Drew Alletson 202nd, Kerry Shooter 205th, Paul Beasley 219th, Fay Powney 222nd, Tony Staniland Vet 70 223rd, Daniel Ward 229th, Steve Saunders 244th Phil Bird 248th, and Gayle Pickering 261st.

Two Sutton Harriers runners, Catherine Davis and Nick Luke, took part with 232 other runners in the 10k Robin Hood Challenge Trials Run over a very wet muddy undulating course around Sherwood Pines. Nick came finished in fifth Male Veteran (40min 32sec) and Catherine was third Senior Lady in 46min 06sec.
