Ruby Wax heads to Nottingham with new show
Comedy queen and renowned broadcaster and actor Ruby Wax is bringing her new show to Nottingham.
Ruby has been delighting audiences on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! where she has been charming her campmates in the Australian jungle with tales from those she quizzed on her hit TV shows Ruby Wax Meets and Full Wax. Ruby coaxed fascinating insights from Donald Trump, OJ Simpson, Pamela Anderson and Madonna to name just a few, all who found themselves in the hot seat.

Audiences will now have the chance to see Ruby’s provocative, sometimes abrasive and generally incomparable style for themselves in her new live show. She will be kept in check by her lifelong friend and producer Clive Tulloh, as the pair come together to review clips from the extraordinary shows they worked on, share scandalous stories that have never been heard before and take the audience along for the ride.
Ruby said: “It’s Ruby here - yes, broadcasting live from the jungle, where the Wi-Fi is powered by mosquitoes and my only beauty routine is ‘don’t get eaten.’ But fear not! The moment I escape, I’m heading straight back on the road and can't wait to see you all there.”
Ruby Wax OBE is an award-winning comedian, actor and mental health advocate. From the Royal Shakespeare Company, to primetime TV, and script editing the beloved Absolutely Fabulous, Ruby has cemented herself as one of the greats on both stage and screen. She also has a master’s degree in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy from the University of Oxford and in 2015 was made an OBE for her services to mental health.
The show comes to Nottingham Playhouse on Thursday June 4. Visit nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk or call 0115 941 9419 to book.
