Declan McConville is a Digital Reporter for GlasgowWorld having grown up in Maryhill.
Declan joined the team at GlasgowWorld in March after a stint in sport journalism as a News Writer and being part of the newsroom at Go Radio.
He was a regular attendee at press conferences having covered Champions League matches, SPFL Premiership games and a Scottish Cup Final.
During his time as a fanzine writer at the Alternative View he interviewed a number of high profile figures such as David Hayman, Paddy Crerand, Chris Sutton and Peter Grant.
Declan was also the host of a politics podcast and interviewed some notable figures. He is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde and has a joint degree in Journalism and Politics.
Declan writes a range of features for GlasgowWorld which includes Music, Food and Drink, Retro Glasgow and anything else which may be happening in the city.
Declan still lives in Maryhill and can be found in any Glasgow pubs which serve a good pint of Guinness. He is a regular concertgoer and has seen the likes of Paul McCartney,
Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen perform in the city. Declan also likes to get along to the football as often as possible.
