Staff, residents, relatives and the community came together at a Bulwell care home to enjoy an open day at the home.

Hall Park Care Home, on Squires Avenue, hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including a barbecue, tombola, live entertainment and games on the home’s bowling green, which were enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

Hall Park staff made everyone feel welcome and were delighted to see different generations having fun together.

One resident said, “I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was surrounded by lots of great people and the refreshments kept flowing. Staff did a great job.”

Online Newstead florist spreads a little happiness by handing out free flowers

Jodie Rakhra, home general manager, said: “Staff at Hall Park are dedicated to ensuring the home is a hub of the community and this event, along with all their hard work, has definitely paid off. It was a resounding success.”

Hall Park, run by Barchester Healthcare, provides residential care and dementia care for 62 residents from respite care to long-term stays.
