Hucknall care provider thrilled as Care Quality Commission rates them 'Good' in all areas
A care provider in Hucknall has been rated ‘Good’ across the board by Government watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Annabelle Care 2020, on Nabbs Lane, was assessed in the categories of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led and was rated ‘Good’ for all for them, leading to the overall ‘Good’ rating.

And management said they were only a few percentage points off being rated ‘Outstanding’ overall.
Annabelle Care 2020 is a domiciliary care service which provides support to people in their own home.
At the time of the assessment, they were supporting 28 people with a regulated activity of personal care.
Inspectors said people told them received ‘safe, effective, caring and responsive support from a service that placed them at the centre of care delivery’.
Staff ‘understood people's individual needs, preferences and aspirations’ and provided ‘personalised care that promoted dignity, independence, choice and positive outcomes’.
People and their relatives consistently spoke positively about the ‘quality of care provided and the compassionate approach of staff’.
Amanda Jarvis, registered manager, said: “We’re thrilled, everyone has worked so hard.
"Starting up during Covid was really hard so we’ve really achieved something here.
"The girls work so hard, we’ve got a really good team and we only provide care in Hucknall and we all live locally so we can be hands-on 24 hours a day.
Elise Ridley, deputy manager, added: “I’m really proud of the team, at the end of the day the carers are the ones out there all day, every day, giving their all and we’re just so proud of them.
"Myself and Amanda are hands-on, we’re out there too with the other girls, it’s a real team effort.
"We’re absolutely over the moon with the report, it’s a long-awaited result that we’ve wanted for so long, but everything got behind with lockdown and all that so we’re glad to finally have it done.
Amanda continued: “We speicialise in person-centred care, it’s all about the clients and what they require from us and they don’t get rushed or anything, it’s all about them.”
The service provider is now recruiting for community carer positions, both part-time and full time.
