A Hucknall man has been locked up after admitting threatening a female police officer.

Aaron Gormley, 37, of Portland Road, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour towards PC Beth Davison on May 5, thereby causing her harassment, alarm or distress.

Appearing at Mansfield Magistrates Court, Gormley was jailed for 18 weeks.

The offence was aggravated by Gormley’s record of previous offending.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £128 victim surcharge.
