New Nuncargate group plan

A Nuncargate pensioner is hoping to set up a new community group following the success of a neighbourhood watch scheme in the area.

Brian Langsdale of Riber Close is keen to build on the community spirit in the street, which is composed of 16 OAP bungalows.

Brian, 73 said: “I have recently started up a neighbourhood watch group which is fully recognised and we are liaising with the council and our neighbourhood officer. Mr Langsdale wants to help organise community events, activities and trips for residents when the group is set up.

He said: “The community spirit around here is absolutely wonderful and when I went round to speak to everyone about it all they were very keen.”

A meeting will be held on July 9 at Nuncar Court.
