Now in its 41st year, Pride in the Job remains one of the most highly regarded competitions in the industry, recognising site managers who demonstrate best practice and excellence on-site to build homes of the highest quality.

Gary said: “I’m so pleased to have won a Pride in the Job Award for the sixth consecutive year.

"This is proof that we are consistently building new homes which meet the highest standards of construction and workmanship.

“It’s my job to ensure that we deliver the highest quality new homes for our customers.

“Getting everything right is really important to the whole team and I take real pride in hearing how happy our new residents are with the homes we’ve built for them.

“But winning this award is a real team effort, especially working during the pandemic, so I’d like to thank everyone on site for all their hard work and support.”

Gary and Dave will now progress to the next stage of the competition, which will see the winners of the Seal of Excellence and overall Regional Award announced.

Lee Wilkinson, construction director for Bellway East Midlands, said: “To be recognised by the NHBC is the biggest accolade you could achieve as a site manager, so we are all very proud of Gary, Dave and their teams.

“In a year which has tested everybody in so many ways throughout the construction industry and beyond, Bellway’s commitment to building the highest standard of home remains paramount to our success and Gary and Dave demonstrated that consistently through this most challenging of periods.

“We congratulate Gary and Dave and wish them the very best of luck for the Seal of Excellence stage of the awards later this year.”
