This is the moment in Parliament yesterday (Monday 2nd) when Ashfield MP Lee Anderson and Sherwood Forest MP Michelle Welsh called for further scrutiny of the under-fire Ashfield District Council.
During the exchange, Jim McMahon MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Housing, Communities and Local Government), said the issues raised by both MPs had caused concern and were of 'a very serious issue.'
Mr McMahon also confirmed an urgent Best Value Assessment and an external audit of the authority would be carried out.
