Pupils test out their athletics skills
Fifty-eight children from years 5 and 6 at Kingsway Primary School took part in the competition, which was held down at Kingsway Park in Kirkby last week.
Everyone Active, the company that operates Ashfield’s leisure centres, is currently running its Sporting FUNdamentals programme at the school and organised the event with support from Ashfield District Council and Sutton Harriers Athletics Club.

Sporting FUNdamentals helps youngsters learn and develop the fundamental skills of movement - agility, balance, co-ordination and speed - by giving them the chance to take part in different sports.
The aim is to ensure that every child becomes more active, more often and ultimately achieves lifelong participation in physical activity.
