Top finance marks for sixth formers
Kirsty Antcliffe (18) and Luiza Bochniak (18), both sixth form students at Garibaldi College, scored in the top one per cent nationally in the Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS)exams.
The qualification, equivalent to A Levels, is aimed at young people hoping to develop a career in the financial sector and is administered by the Institute of Financial Services’ University College in London.

Hide AdKirsty said: “I am so proud to have achieved a grade that is in the top one per cent in the country.
“Studying finance has helped me learn many important aspects that I can take further into life.”
Steve Chapman, lead teacher for business, finance and enterprise at Garibaldi said: “It is fantastic that the high achievement and hard work of Garibaldi students is receiving national recognition.”
Both students have also been awarded a £750 scholarship towards undergraduate study at the college if they decide to pursue a career in the financial sector.
