William the noisy cockerel of Eyam faces death if a new home isn’t found for him soon.
The owners of William - Philip and Caroline Sutcliffe - have been slapped with a noise abatement notice by Derbyshire Dales District Council following a complaint about the cockerel’s crowing.
Mr Sutcliffe said: “We are not looking to sell William, we just want to give him to a good home.”
