Bulwell care home raises cash for breast cancer charity
Staff at Hall Park care home play their part in October to raise awareness about breast cancer
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Hall Park care home in Bulwell marked breast cancer awareness month throughout October.

During the month folk at the care home came together to raise funds by wearing pink, holding a pink-themed bake sale and organising a sponsored walk, where their activities co-ordinator, Kerry Wakeshaw, walked 12 miles in the strong winds and manager, Jodie Rakhra even bought pink boiled eggs for her lunch.
Jodie said: “Breast cancer is a cause close to many of our staff and residents’ hearts so everyone was keen to take part in fundraising activities and do their bit. We are proud to donate the money we raised by over £100 to help fund research and try to make a difference.”
More than 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
