Two Hucknall pubs feature in this year's CAMRA Good Beer Guide
The renowned CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2027 is out now and two Hucknall pubs have made the list.
Byron’s Rest, on Baker Street, and The Pilgrim Oak, on High Street, have both been included in the famous Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) guide, which is the definitive guidebook to pubs that serve great cask beer across the UK, and uses an independent, volunteer-led selection process that makes it the authoritative and trusted voice of cask beer drinkers.

And while Byron’s Rest is a regular in the guide, for The Pilgrim Oak, named after the tree that stood on Lord Byron’s estate at Newstead Abbey, this is the first time it has been included and is one of only three JD Wetherspoon pubs in Nottinghamshire that has made the list this year
Richard Darrington, landlord at Byron’s Rest, said: “It is very gratifying to make it in again, we’re working very hard at what we do and we’ll keep doing it.

"It’s great to see The Pilgrim Oak there too and to have two pubs in there flying the flag for Hucknall.”
In total, 73 Nottinghamshire pubs have made the list this year, including five more from Ashfield – Market Inn in Huthwaite, Horse & Jockey in Selston, Dixies Arms in Bagthorpe, Dandy Cock Ale House in Kirkby and Firerock in Sutton.
