Meet and talk with the people with £20m to spend on Hucknall
Do you want to know more about Hucknall's £20m Pride in Place funding?
The Hucknall Neighbourhood Board is hosting a ‘meet the board event’ on Saturday, October 31 where people can be introduced to the board members, ask questions about the funding and share their ideas on potential projects

The event takes place at Hucknall Town FC’s stadium on Aerial Way from 10am to 12noon
No booking is required, just turn up.
Hucknall will receive £20m of investment over the next 10 years through the Government’s Pride in Place programme.
This funding will support projects that improve everyday life from high streets, housing and jobs to health, safety, transport and opportunities for local people.
Projects must fit into one of the Government’s three themes:
- Creating thriving places – making Hucknall a better place to live, work and visit
- Building stronger communities – helping people feel connected, supported and proud of Hucknall
- Local voice and control – giving residents more say in local decisions and priorities
The fund is 63 per cent capital funding, which can be used to improve, or build, new buildings or community facilities, as an example, and 37 per cent revenue funding, which can be used to pay for services, running costs, resources and voluntary groups, as examples.
As well as the ‘meet the board’ event this weekend, people can also have their say on how the money should be spent by completing the council survey at ashfield.gov.uk/regeneration/hucknall-westville-pride-in-place-programme-survey/
