Basford United announce season-ticket prices for the new season

It’s been a near seven months since supporters were allowed at a home United game, but the club are now readying themselves for the end of lockdown and have announced plans for the 2021-22 campaign.

Speaking about the impending return of fans, first team manager Steve Chettle said: “It’s been an awfully long time since we’ve any fans in the ground to see a game and share that matchday experience with us and the players - it will be a huge relief to us all to have that back again.

“For two seasons, we have been in a strong position, only for them both to be curtailed.

“However, it will be great for everyone, including season ticket holders - new and old - to look forward to our first pre-season game against Mickleover on May 22.

“From there, we go into another break before the return of pre-season where we have a great schedule planned as we prepare for another tough Northern Premier League season.”

As part of their commitment to fair pricing, the club have confirmed that season ticket holders from last season’s curtailed campaign have been offered favourable renewal incentives, including a zero-cost option for the upcoming season due to start in August.

There is, however, optimism from United that fans may even be allowed back before the start of next season and they hope to welcome supporters to their recently announced friendly fixture with Mickleover on May 22.

Season tickets are now on sale via the club shop and senior officials are offering an early bird rate until the end of June for new applications.

Full prices are as follows:

Adult - £150 (£120 if purchased before end of June)

Concessions - £90 (£75 if purchased before end of June)

Students - £60 (£50 if purchased before end of June)

Family of 4 - £300* (£240 if purchased before end of June*)

* Must include 1 x persons under 16

Basford have also confirmed that all season ticket holders will be eligible for free admission to game against Mickleover next month, as well as free entry to all home first team and academy fixtures throughout pre-season.
