Hucknall bosses 'running out of patience' after late loss for Yellows
Hucknall Town management duo Jonathan D’Laryea and Rudy Funk did not hide their frustration after ten-man Yellows suffered late heartbreak at Heanor Town in GCE Fleet Hire United Counties League Premier Division North.
After going in at half-time trailing 1-0 to goal from Sacha Markelic, Yellows were much improved after the break and deservedly equalised through Garbiel Edebe’s penalty on the hour after Seb Rigley was fouled in the box.

But the game turned decisively against Hucknall when Trent Julkes was red-carded for his second bookable offence, leaving Yellows to try and see out the game a man light.
They came within five minutes of doing so, but but had been guilty of defensive disorganisation and it cost them all three points when Mason Tudgay smashed home Heanor’s winner from a free-kick.
A frustrated D’Laryea said they should have gone in at half-time at 0-0 and while he was happier with the reaction at the start of the second half when Yellows had a good period that led to their equaliser, he stressed that short half-hour periods of playing well were not enough to win games.
He said: “Football is a 90-minute game.
"Playing well for 30 minutes and not doing your jobs in key areas means you are bound to lose.
"Some players need to be honest with themselves.
"We had a good chat about the level performance and if the level of performance isn’t good enough, then you don’t win the game and that’s what’s cost us.”
Funk equally pulled no punches, adding: “I am absolutely disappointed up to my ears, because you cannot work with a group of players when you praise them enough, you tell them ‘do this, do that’ and then some of them just don’t adhere to it.
“My patience is running out.
"We cannot stand on the touchline and see that.
"People come and pay good money to watch us and they must feel worse than us.
"I’m not happy at all, you either work your socks off in training, or do something spectacular in the next match, or you move on."
Yellows now return home on Saturday to face Midland Football League side Saffron Dynamo in the FA Vase (kick-off 3pm).
